This 11th REC:all webinar was held on 14 November 2013 and attended by 38 participants. Lecture capture is seen by many in the field as something of a guerilla technology – in other words it can be used as part of a tactic or strategy to facilitate change in higher education in a subtle manner. However this does call for approaches which take lecture capture above and beyond simply recording and replaying traditional lectures. One of the main pedagogical outputs from the REC:all project is a new framework based on an analysis of over 30 case studies which shows a range of different approaches which extent lecture capture. In this session Sylvia Moes (VU Amsterdam, the Netherlands) and Clive Young (UCL, UK) put forward this new framework and the thinking and analysis that lies behind it. Our invited speaker Jos Fransen (Inholland, the Netherlands) links to the framework and explains how he used new innovative learning & teaching methods in his institution.
